Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Literacy Coordinator to join our educational team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This vital role involves leading the development and implementation of literacy initiatives, supporting teachers, and enhancing literacy outcomes for all students.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field with a focus on literacy.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, with a strong background in literacy education.
- Native English speakers with an IELTS score of band 8 or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate a comprehensive literacy program that aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of students.
- Provide professional development and support for teachers in effective literacy instruction and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate literacy across the curriculum and promote a culture of reading and writing.
- Monitor and assess student literacy progress, using data to inform instruction and intervention.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support literacy development at home and in the school.
- Contribute to the overall educational leadership and strategic planning of the institution.
